A Stream of Gold

Let me introduce you to my 3rd batch of advisees, 9 Sincerity!

I have been assigned as a class adviser for three years now, and before that I was a co-adviser for a year.

Being a class adviser has its pros and cons, but there's so many benefits in being a class adviser that the cons become unnoticed.

Here, lemme show you...

Winning streak - NO MORE!!!

I have never been fascinated in basketball when I was young. But things changed during my college days. As part of our PE class, we are to attend a UAAP basketball game. UST would even provide free transportation. Imagine 10 buses sending adrenaline pumped Thomasians! Even as a non fanatic of basketball, the atmosphere is intoxicating.

The first game that I watched was between UST and DLSU. Its the first time I experienced an adrenaline rush watching a sports game, even more, a basketball game. UST is always loud during games. They always have the band playing institutional cheers. The half time performances of the Salinggawi is also something that we can't afford to miss.

UST, usually weak during the first half, will suddenly have a burst of energy (and luck I suppose), racing their baskets until its almost even with the score of DLSU. But all the efforts are not enough to bag the game. Since then I've become a UAAP fan. Well at least when UST is the one playing. Win or loose, the sudden excitement will leave me satisfied.

Last Saturday I have witnessed another UST and La Salle bout. DLSU was greatly charged for they were disqualified last season because of some issues regarding its players. UST aced the games last year, apparently its La Salle who's blocking the Tigers path to victory. The sports casters gave some trivia that La Salle has been winning over UST for 15 consecutive games! I cant Imagine that the Tigers haven't won over the Archers for that long. I had a sudden flash back of the UST-DLSU games that I've seen. And they are right, UST hasn't won anything during my college days.

Go USTe! Go Black-Gold Black-White!

As i watched the game, the trend in the UST-DLSU games is very evident. La Salle is going strong during the first quarter, UST will catch up in the 2nd, The scores will be almost even in the 3rd. I'm expecting the 16th defeat of the Tigers, but something happened. Seconds remaining on the clock, UST scored a basket, levelling their score with DLSU resulting to an overtime.

My heart is pumping hard, I felt wierd shouting and jumping on my seat alone in the room. A few more baskets, some 3 point scores, and the winning streak of the Archers over the Tigers has come to a halt. Whew, i felt so exhausted after watching the game, and a certain feeling of relaxation and joy washed over me as I hear the UST hymn playing on TV, all Thomasians singing their hearts out in a victory chorus.

Congratulations Growling Tigers, a well deserved win. Bag the championship again this year and show the Archers what you're really made of!

Party Poppers

Excitement is in the air. The atmosphere is filled with team spirit, cheers and applause thundered in the gymnasium. The cool upbeat music is nearing its end. Girls in colorful costumes are dancing their hearts out as they move to their positions. Boys position themselves, preparing to do their final lift. In four counts... 5, 6, 7, 8 POP! As the cheering squad holds their final pose bits of colored and metallic paper are now flying in the air, making the ending of their routine extra special and dramatic. Party Poppers really adds this special festive effect in any fun occasion.

But there's more to party poppers than just blowing confetti in the air making a temporary rain of rainbow bits of paper -then a really great mess after-. We found out that the joy that a party popper gives is not only to from the effect it shows a special occasion BUT in reading its instructions. Observe...

Hmmm... You don't say...

"Are the grammatical lapses correct?" - Sir Ardee

"...inside and outside celebration occasions event phenomenon"

I prefer boxers

Just in case people forget that attacking people is a no no.

I've read from Senses Lumines that paper has its varied tastes. This tells us that not all paper has flavor, well this one at least. Probably they have a banana or chocolate flavored party popper.

So need I say more? So in case a party pooper poops your party, get a hold of a party popper and pop that pooper out. Happy popping!

X - Starting Anew

Here I go again, making a new site for my blogs. After trying so many, I have yet been satisfied. I thought that the last site that I had can cut above the past blogs that I have made and forgotten but I was mistaken. So now here I am trying Blogger. After seeing some of my friends blogs here, I thought "This is it". So even if I end up looking "gaya-gaya" I will just take it all in and await my new blogging experience. Mina-san Tanoshi.
